CHHATTISGARH UNIVERSITY " A state University established by an Act of State Government of Chhattisgarh" as published in the Gazette Notification No. F-73-156/2003/HE/38 dated 30.8.2003 under section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
The prime objective of the university is to bring revolutionary changes in the field of education, by way of making it cost effective and within the reach of one and all. The university encourages students with outstanding merit by providing them opportunities, incentives and facilities to excel.
It has also aimed to meet and fulfill the Industrial Requirements by producing highly skilled and capable professionals to meet the challenges faced by them.
The university imparts educational training and research in the areas of Engineering, Technology, Medicine, Applied Sciences, Management and Agriculture as major thrust areas. The university offers conventional as well as industry related and job oriented structured programmes at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research level.
Chhattisgarh University offers various Diplomas, Degrees and Integrated programmes in the areas mentioned above at its main campus located in the state of Chhattisgarh and at the other Campuses/Study Centres located in different parts of the country and abroad. The campus based and distance learning programmes are conducted in absolute alignment without any compromise in terms of the quality and content.
Various programmes offered by the university and instruction delivery methodology are governed by the vision of the governing body and academic council consisting of experienced and renowned academicians.
The University accords top priority to the placement of graduates and postgraduates in various sectors of the country. A separate cell has been created to look after this vital function. The placement cell functions as an independent responsible unit. Apart from the placement activities, the cell strives to promote co-ordination with industry to assess the industrial requirements.
